WE NOW HAVE A COUNSELLOR AT THE FREYA FOUNDATION

Steph Ball is an integrative counsellor, working mainly using person-centred principles but she also has skills in solution-focused methods.

Her counselling and therapy approach is effective with children and young people as well as adults facing challenges including anxiety, depression, self-harm, trauma, difficulties regulating emotions, bereavement and relationship problems.

Steph is a member of the National Counselling Society and holds a Level Five Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling as well as a degree in Psychology and Criminology.

Steph has a special interest in working with families affected by disability and works extensively with parents, young carers and siblings of children with disabilities. She also works with adults and young people who have an Autistic Spectrum Condition.

Alongside her counselling practice, Steph also works with families who have children with complex disabilities offering support and respite. In her earlier career, she worked for schools, health services and local authorities to increase access to services and opportunities for all.
