Defying Expectations: Eve's Magical Milestones

Our mornings are slow and unpredictable with constant ketone testing. When ketones are good, Eve is great, but when they are low, she presents as very sleepy and floppy with no energy. Despite this, she attends mainstream school full time and absolutely thrives!. Eve is the happiest soul, loves her family, her school, and her friends. Everyone who meets Eve instantly falls in love with her infectious personality.

Every milestone is magic. A moment we never thought we would see was when Eve took her first steps when she was 4 years old. The keto diet has been amazing for us, especially because we started it early.

Finding the Freya Foundation has brought us friends, communication with other families to share stories and advice, and meet-ups. We get a lot out of these weekends, as they allow Eve and her brother to spend time with other children who have PDH.
